“Craft is passionately creating something with your hands.”

Sarah Chatterton

Do you feel the need to create, craft, and seek an outlet for artistic designs, but are seeking some direction or looking for something new? In the middle of a home improvement project and just need some tips? At the Orem Public Library, we have DIY databases that can meet all your needs. The only requirement is your library card!

Hobbies & Crafts

If you’re feeling crafty, you can access Creativebug and the Hobbies and Craft Reference Center from our digital library page on the library’s website.

Creativebug is composed of a team of dreamers and makers who believe that everyone has a creative side! The database provides the latest in art and craft education, working with renowned artists to teach their courses. When you create an account with Creativebug, you’ll enjoy unlimited access to thousands of online art and craft classes.

Please note: Creativebug access is provided by the Utah State Library. Patrons will need to create both an OpenAthens login AND a Creativebug account to use the database. Library staff is always available to answer questions and help with account creation.

The Hobbies and Craft Reference Center is provided by EBSCO. Patrons can search the database by topic for articles and projects from a variety of sources. In addition, there are downloadable eBooks on popular subjects such as artisan chocolates, afghans, modern mod podge, and many others.
