The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue

By V.E. Schwab
Adult Fiction

Schwab has long been one of my favorite authors because she has an incredible way of pulling you into her worlds. I felt like I could be right there with Addie. I loved hearing Addie’s story, beginning in France in the 1700’s. We learn about everything that happens between then and now, and it’s written in such a beautifully dark way. Then, in 2014, we are introduced to Henry. Through Henry, we see so much more of Addie’s personality. We see the influence of art in her life, whether it’s music, or paintings, or stories. But by far, my favorite part of this book is the ending. It ends not with a period, but with an ellipsis (that’s a reference from the book!). Please read this book, because it changed how I looked at the world, and I hope it does the same for you.
