On November 3, Orem will get a taste of New York jazz with a special performance by Svetlana and the New York Collective. Svetlana, “Russian by birth, American by Music,” grew up in the Soviet Union, where she fell in love with American jazz. Here are some of the jazz albums that Svetlana first fell in love with, as well as records that continue to inspire her.
