I am, I am, I am: Seventeen Brushes With Death

By Maggie O’Farrell
Biography

Maggie O’Farrell is a wonderful writer of fiction, and here she shows that she is an equally wonderful writer of nonfiction. She writes of her life using 17 brushes with death that she experienced. I was touched by her honesty, and vulnerability, and beautiful writing. From grave illnesses to horrible accidents, from challenges in her pregnancies to the horrific life-threatening condition of one of her daughters. I really enjoyed this book, and thought about it long after I had finished.
