Bridges: Minister to Those Who Question

By David B. Ostler
Adult Nonfiction

Bridges: Ministering to Those Who Question by David B. Ostler is a must-read for anyone who loves or ministers to someone who has questioned or let go of their membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The author has honestly, kindly, lovingly and without judgment sought to listen and understand the “why” of the stories of those who have departed. He has also validated my feelings that our task is to listen without judgment, love, nurture and be there for our loved ones. Many have heard the dictum “no empty chairs in the temple,” but the author goes further with “no empty chairs at the dinner table” emphasizing the here and now. All are to be loved no matter where they are in their life journey.
