Skinwalker Ranch, located in Uintah County, Utah, has been the location of reported odd occurrences for the past quarter century. In the mid-1990s, the Sherman family told the Deseret News they had seen a number of UFOs around their property. Furthermore, some of their cows had been lost, others were found mutilated, and others just disappeared. Intrigued by the stories, Robert Bigelow, the founder of the National Institute for Discovery Science (NIDS), purchased the property from the Sherman family and sent scientists to investigate. In 2016, Utah real estate tycoon Brandon Fugal purchased the property from Bigelow. Today, Fugal employs a variety of people to watch over and investigate the ranch and any strange goings-on that may occur. Orem Library holds several items concerning Skinwalker Ranch.
