Playing with Fire begins at a fast pace as we see firefighter Jake Carson and his tightly-run team successfully rescue three kids from a wildfire. Usually a day’s work would end after reuniting the three siblings with their parents, but fate has other plans when suddenly Mom and Dad can’t do that. So begins one of the greatest challenges Captain Jake has faced yet, all while a promotion for his dream job is on the line. From cooking dinner to diaper changes to storytelling and swimming through suds, Playing with Fire has it all! This hilarious and heart-warming adventure will have viewers not knowing if they’re crying because they are touched or have laughed too much.
This movie caught my interest because one of my favorite movie genres is family-friendly comedies. Sometimes feels like I’ve watched them all before a new one comes out. This film ended up being a hidden gem since it balances humor, reality, kindness, and perfect plot twists. Anyone who loves films like Daddy Day Care and Imagine That will definitely add Playing with Fire to their favorites. Also, anybody who knows that John Cena is a BTS fan (ARMY) will have a pleasant surprise after watching.
